MIKSHA To Release Debut Album In October
July 26, 2005Norwegian metallers MIKSHA will release their debut album in October 2005 through Anticulture Records. The band, whose name means "hammered out of metal" in ancient Hebrew, "take grinding guitars, vocals with melodic sensibilities, and combine them with powerful industrial soundscapes to produce 12 tracks of intense industrial metal that does more to push the genre in a new direction than anyone has done in a long time," according to a press release. The album's opening cut, "Locomotive", is available for free download from www.anticulture.co.uk, along with a live video for the track "Concept/Bipolar", recorded earlier this year at Blaest in Trondheim. A European tour to coincide with the album release is currently in the works. In the meantime, you can catch the band playing with HIGH ON FIRE at Blaest in Trondheim on August 27.
MIKSHA are:
Kim-Erling Johansen – Drums
Mathis Stâle Mathisen – Guitar
Fritz R Pettersen – Vocals, Bass
Tor Åge Ballo - Guitar
